We understand that our lives don’t exist in a bubble. We have a passion, and also a feeling of duty, to be active members of a progressive and cohesive society and to contribute to betterment of our communities. That’s why we have been reaching out to support fellow artists and creatives across Asia in meaningful ways.

A central pillar of our approach is the empowerment of women, that great under-utilised powerhouse of social and economic development. It is now well documented that while around half the world’s population is female, 70% of the 1.4 million people living below $1 a day are women. And while women account for two-thirds of the world’s working hours, they earn only 10% of the world’s income.

For 2017/18 we have been working with female owned craft shops in Thailand to produce our ‘Treasured Tastes’ range of Ramadan gifts. These beautiful kurma sets comprise hand-weaving, woodwork and traditional ceramics, presented with delicate floral and lace displays.

Aimed at traditional charitable giving during the holy month of Ramadan, the sets also help to focus attention on the entrepreneurial female craft businesses of South East Asia. We hope that through such projects, we can assist our communities in the quest for female empowerment.
